Despite All the Talk and (Fake) Good Intentions, Nature-Based Markets Had a Truly Awful 2022: Chart (1)

The nature-based carbon contract, the front-month global emissions offset futures, dropped 67% to $4.59 / ton during 2022.

This signals mankind values these credits much lower now than a year ago, even though the climate crisis is worsening, animal population numbers are plunging and the Russia-Ukraine war was has shown bad prioritization and poor political/economic/market structure globally.

CarrZee: we need a new type of capitalism; the nature-based carbon market had a terrible year, even as rich countries pretend CO2 markets will help save the market; bad market structure persists.
