April 13-16, 2024 — Was the attack in Sydney that left 6 people dead a response from Iran?
It appears not.
I asked the question because the Westfield shopping mall empire was created in part by Jewish folks, the Saunders and Lowys.
John Saunders was born Ignacy Silberherz in Poland in 1925. He was part of the flourishing Jewish population in the city of Stanislawow, now part of Ukraine. His father had been an officer in the Austrian and Polish armies. It was in the Bondi junction Westfield mall where multiple people were stabbed. At least 6 have died. A baby was injured.
The stabber was apparently killed by police.
No one linked the deaths to Iran, except me.

Joel Cauchi, 40, has been named as the perpetrator… he sent the crowded Westfield Bondi Junction complex into panic on Saturday when he began stabbing people with a long blade, BBC reports.

To be sure: Five women and a man died. Several others, including a baby, were injured.
Authorities said the attack was most likely “related to the mental health” of Mr Cauchi…so not related to Iran, BBC said.
Police would check if he was targeting women.
All eyes are on the other side of the world, in the Middle East, to see how Iran retaliates for killings at an Iran embassy in Syria Monday April 1.
Tensions are escalating.
Australia is a supporter of Israel.
I would not attend a Westfield shopping mall today or over the next few days … to be sure. (As of April 14 I changed my mind on this.)
