Putin was sincere in getting together with the west (Europe and the US) during the years of US President Bill Clinton…President Bush senior.
The context of interview was why did Russia invade Ukraine
There were five waves of expansion of the west toward Russia. (30-40 minutes into the Tucker interview)
Putin: “We realised we weren’t welcome there (in NATO). In the end they just told us to get lost.” …and it was the CIA not elected US officials making the decisions, he indicated.
The threat of Russia to the world “is a fake”, according to ’thinking people’, Putin said.
Expanding the war into Poland and beyond into Europe is “absolutely out of the question”, he said.
US and others are “extorting” money from taxpayers to extend the theatre of war.
