It’s called a ‘warm hub.‘

The Whitechapel library in east London, UK, is giving away free tea, coffee and biscuits.

Known as an Idea Store, the library could also provide an alternative workplace for those struggling to pay the ramped-up expense of heating their home this winter.

Temperatures have plunged below freezing the past few days.

Electricity/natgas bills for households have surged to about £3,000 a year from £1,000 a year ago.

As perhaps you would expect, it was standing room only. The tea tasted nice.
