Soil carbon reservoirs have a capacity: on social media

Soil carbon reservoirs have a capacity. Even highly-degraded soil rapidly sequestering carbon will eventually become saturated, reaching a carbon exchange equilibrium between soil and atmosphere. In mathematical terms, soil carbon does not accumulate linearly, but asymptotically.

I’m amplifying this for those interested in soil sequestration of CO2, carbon, biochar @Unpop_Science
