April 19, 2022 — NZ Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong added climate and sustainability to an “enhanced relationship” between the two countries, RNZ reports.
Hsien Loong said areas that could be worked on included “workshops for building joint capacity in responding to climate change, improved pricing for emissions trading, and work on sustainable aviation initiatives,” according to the report.
I’m taking “improved pricing” to mean higher prices. NZ carbon units have more than tripled the past two years. Singapore is boosting its pricing. One NZ$ = 67 US cents.
