The U.S., the world’s second biggest GHG emitter, was focussed on shifting to cleaner fuels to cut emissions from its military and its transport system, said Nancy Pelosi, speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives.
She was responding to a journalist questioning why the military emissions were excluded from climate accounting and was that a threat to plans to hit net-zero emissions?
Pelosi told reporters in Glasgow at the UN climate talks that the government intends to pass its reconciliation law, which includes the biggest slate of climate laws in U.S. history, in the week of Nov. 15.
