July 26, 2026 — There were more than a couple of provocative signs being held aloft as the massive trans-gender pride march yesterday (Saturday) pushed slowly through the center of London.
The implication of the one above was that the press and politicians are unfairly focussed on trans folks (and immigrants) instead of badly structured markets, billionaires and awful regulators.
About 0.5% of UK people identify as trans.
Why are you obsessed with trans genitals? asked another placard, or something close to that.
“They are trying to distract us,” said one marcher, as they/thems repeatedly called out to make sure trans rights are in the future treated as human rights.
Meanwhile, trans people have trouble finding somewhere to poo and wee, one of the most basic human rights.
The peaceful event in perfect sunny conditions meant those participating were in good form. 150,000 attended, 50 percent up on an earlier one (checking).
Yet …I surveyed about 10 people at the march who were tired of the rampant social and legal injustices in Britain as billionaires make off like bandits.
In Germany, a car was rammed into a similar trans event Saturday, stirring fear and anger.

While ordinary citizens are kept preoccupied debating one another over single-sex spaces, political and financial elites quietly consolidate capital with minimal public opposition.
Sensationalized coverage functions here as a classic political diversion, fracturing social cohesion and redirecting public anger away from establishment corruption.
Ultimately, saturating the news cycle with identity conflict ensures that widespread economic inequality and the transfer of public resources into private hands remain safely off the front pages.
