–Customers will remember and conflate country and corporate behavior…especially when it is as bad as Trump’s behavior is
Opinion by Mathew Carr
At the newish Grand Egyptian Museum, despite massive footfall, a Starbucks lies partly empty…with customer preferences elsewhere.
Thursday:

The massive Marriott resort in Giza near the sphinx was desolate when I did a walkthrough, with very few lights on in the 331 rooms….which can go for $471 per night…or $882 per night with a “premium pyramid view”.
With Middle East violence cutting demand from tourists, American companies in the region are suffering.
Customers will remember and conflate country and corporate behavior.
Egypt, alongside Pakistan etc (most of the world) is trying to end Netanyahu’s and Trump’s violent, unnecessary bullying in Iran, Lebanon ….Trump’s market manipulation and insider trading.
Of course Trump’s strategy has been to start the Iran violence to support Israel colonization, boost inflation, help oil companies and basically tyrannize people across the earth with higher food costs and bad capitalism …big business is steamrolling smaller companies as competitive tension erodes.
So it is not all bad for American business …especially if you are in the correct categories.
