It’s clear the world is severely dysfunctional when one bloke (President Trump) can get away with doing so much damage and human terror, corrupt so many markets and cause this much global inflation.
The UN needs to be able to stop this type of reckless greed…from any leader of any country.
Trump and his proxy Israel (or is it the other way around?) bombing a huge field shared by Qatar and Iran sent Europe’s oil prices surging to $10 a barrel more than those in the US.
Trump is hurting Europe, deliberately.
This comes as nations are questioning whether US tech firms should retain their favored status in the World Trade Organization regime and Trump continues America’s out-of-proportion damage to climate and nature.
Check out the spread between Brent and WTI crude blowing out Wednesday; this is deeply unfair to (not only those killed and injured) but to everyone who has to pay the higher prices …and especially those in Europe paying an even higher premium :

Here is a longer-term look

No market should allow the biggest producer in that system to physically attack another for profit. That’s outrageous …yet much of the Western press treats it as normal.

Our World in Data
North America output now exceeds the whole of the Middle East and after the war that spread will get much wider. This is capitalism gone too far, surely.

It’s even worse in Asia, where prices reached $150 a barrel?

And finally, why is so much of the press pretending that Russia is the biggest beneficiary. Wartime propaganda, that’s why!

Absolutely shocking behaviour
