By Commenting Too Soon on the Killing of Good, Trump also Killed any Chance he Ever Had of Winning a Peace Prize

—Good v Evil?

Opinion by Mathew Carr

Mr Trump’s peace prize is a gonner … like the chance of peace when brutal ICE agents attend a scene?

Here’s what President Donald Trump actually said recently about the woman who was killed, and the context, video evidence :

🇺🇸 Background, with input from ChatGPT somewhat unchecked :

A 37-year-old woman named Renee Nicole Good (RIP) was shot and killed by an ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agent during an operation in Minneapolis.

The circumstances are under investigation and local officials dispute claims made by federal authorities about what happened.

🔎 What Trump said:

Trump described Good as “very disorderly” and blamed her for the incident, saying she “violently, willfully, and viciously ran over the ICE officer” — a claim that is not borne out by available video evidence and has been disputed by local police.

In an interview with The New York Times, he repeatedly asserted she “behaved horribly” and “ran him over”, even after reporters pointed out the video did not clearly show that happening.

Indeed the videos ( see below) showed the woman turning her car away from the agent who killed her ….then the killer appeared to leave the scene, which seems to signal the shame he was feeling …and possibly the fear he was feeling that Good’s neighbours /friends might deploy immediate vengeance upon him (?)

Is this a clear example of the US state going rogue?

Trump also said the situation was “a terrible scene,” and that he didn’t like to see it happen, as he showed a video of the incident to reporters in the Oval Office.

In social-media comments he framed the episode as the result of hostile actions against law enforcement, blaming “the Radical Left” and emphasizing support for the ICE officer.

📌 Important distinction:

Trump did not say the killing was “good” in those exact words.

What he did was defend the actions of the ICE agent, argue that the woman was at fault, and characterize the situation in a way that critics say blames the victim rather than acknowledging the loss of life.

NYT analysis:

The bad guy? Unlike Mr Trump I’m Asking, not Telling

CarrZee: These series of events might help seal a Democratic win in the midterms. The brutality — in Gaza and here — is not what people voted for in 2024.
