Deliberate fuckery: “My husband would still be alive if he’d got Post Office compensation”
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cy0p50ej0w2o
This below is fake because the UK Post Office uses passive voice that indicates to the reader it might not be at fault;
A Post Office spokesperson said: “Postmasters and their families have suffered years of pain. It has taken them too long to clear their names and, in many cases, to receive redress. We are sincerely sorry to hear about Mr Armstrong’s death, and for his and his family’s experiences.”

What the Post Office should have said:
“We deliberately put postmasters through decades of pain for no good reason. We are sincerely sorry that we deliberately hastened Mr Armstrong’s death, and for what we did to him.”

BBC should have gone harder. It’s lost its humanity.
