Can the G20 even use a calculator?
G20 publishes pathetic sustainable-finance report signaling more delay for carbon credits and slow money for emerging nations, who have suffered tremendous physical and financial damage because of the behavior of rich people — climate justice seems forgotten
Opinion by Mathew Carr
October 16, 2025 — About 35 years after UNFCCC was set up ….effective climate action that would switch markets away from fossil fuel are apparently too complicated to properly put in place, according to the G20 in a new report.
The truth is … these 20 countries (and the observing ones) want to keep making money by destroying the planet.
Imperfections in solutions (such as carbon and biodiversity markets) mean the corrupt current system must prevail for more time, apparently, the report concludes.
This is rent seekers winning … while those seeking logic simply fail to win the arguments.
‘Extended’ delay for carbon credits

Vague pledges, initiatives, pilots, aims, promotions, relaunches, intentions

I can’t see where the G20, costly as it is to taxpayers, even makes an effort to add up the finance and compare it to the year before. Email me at mathew@carrzee.net if you can see where the G20 has done that:
