Opinion by Mathew Carr
Oct. 16-17, 2025 — This is such a stark indicator that BBC journalists and editors have lost their way (and many others in the western mainstream press)… that they seem to value white-skinned life so much more than brown-skinned life.
A few white-skinned deaths are much more important than the tens of thousands of brown-skinned ones, apparently.
Truly historic levels of immorality. The callousness is quite difficult to fathom.
News judgement needs a total rewrite.
The dead Gazans are estimated at 200,000 by some. Do British Broadcast Corp. journalists know how to count?
Shouldn’t the group with the most dead be cast as the biggest victims?
What am I missing?

See how the dead brown-skinned humans don’t seem to be named?
“Palestinian media reports man killed in drone strike .. published at 10:48
Palestinian news agencies in Gaza report that a man has been killed in an apparent Israeli drone strike south-east of Khan Younis.
There are also reports that another two people have been seriously injured in a drone strike in Bani Suheila, a town north-east of Khan Younis.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) says there have been no strikes in Khan Younis today.”
Unbelievable.
Financial Times is at it too …on its front page today.

Most of the media constantly “forgets” that Israel was magicked as a country … onto stolen Palestinian land around 80 years ago.
What about the tens of thousands of brown-skinned people in flattened Gaza buildings….Bloomberg?

The Times does not seem to care much about squashed brown-skinned folks.
