He suffered 18 assassination attempts….wow

A #Dangerous Man.”
That’s how Captain Ibrahim Traoré was described in the United States Senate.
But what makes him so “dangerous”? Let’s look at the facts:
- Raised Burkina Faso’s #GDP from $18.8B to $22.2B in just 2 years
- Made education #free from kindergarten to university (US could never)
- Building the largest hospital in West Africa—so his people no longer need to seek treatment abroad (US could never #2)
- Invested in agriculture: seeds, machinery, processing plants, 20,000+ jobs, aiming for #food self-sufficiency (US could never #3)
But here’s where he truly crossed the line:
- #Stopped foreign (#France, Canada, UK, Australia) gold mining operations—so Burkina Faso could profit from its own minerals (HOW DARE HE!)
- Ended tax treaties were French nationals paid ZERO taxes for their business in BF
- Said NO to IMF and World Bank (predatory) loans
- Created a bank and PAID local loans
Very “dangerous,” indeed.
What’s even more “dangerous”?
This movement isn’t exclusive to #BurkinaFaso. It’s spreading. Captain Ibrahim #Traoré is the youngest president in the world. His bold #leadership is inspiring a new generation of African leaders. (Un)fortunately this is what makes him dangerous!
– Imagine what would happen if the Congolese, with the world’s richest reserves of cobalt (the lifeblood of electric vehicles and batteries), were led by someone with the same vision and resolve as Traoré. The #2030 ambitions for electric, fossil-free cars in the #Western world would be severely compromised.
True #independence in Africa doesn’t just shift politics, it shakes the very foundations of the global #economy.
Very, very, very “dangerous,” indeed.
Imagine if the world’s largest demographic—#African youth—realized that the continent is rich, not poor. That decades of “aid” did nothing but enslave the people and perpetuated never-ending cycles of “democratic elected” corrupt puppets to keep us down and subservient, #neocolonialism is that you!?
This “dangerous” label was delivered in the US Senate by, wait for it … #AfricanAmerican General Michael Langley… Five centuries in America soil and still not considered “American enough” I see, oh well… maybe someday. Back to the topic…
Now, there are #threats – covert and overt – of intervention, to “liberate” the people of Burkina Faso. We’ve seen this movie before: Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan.
- Let’s not forget how dangerous Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan were and how #great they’re now after being freed from their dangerous leaders by the US.
– Let’s not forget the state of the #US economy at the time of those “liberation” and the resemblance to the current state of the US economy.
Meanwhile, Captain Traoré has #survived 18 assassination attempts.
“They label us the poorest continent in the world, and when we ask them to leave, they refuse.” — Captain Ibrahim Traoré
Who, really, is dangerous to the people (of Burkina Faso)?
