Hopefully this weirdness in the State Dept websites signals the US is less inclined to start a war with China over Taiwan.

China is on the front foot re Mr Trump’s new presidency.

It has showcased its AI prowess with a clean-energy version, Deep Seek … resulting in the single biggest one-day drop in the valuation of any company in global stock market history ($600 billion, Nvidia, reported CNBC).

One of President Donald Trump’s best features is his anti warmongering.

Now, the US State Department has wiped clean the top of its Taiwan website, and the usual “fact sheet”.

Perhaps it’s about to change its propaganda stance on the island non-nation? (Please don’t tell any Taiwanese I said this.)

The world needs to step back from the brink of any more wars … and this could signal that.

I admit these signals are only slightly better than those given off by tea leaves.
