June 6-7, 2024: On the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in Northern France that preceded the end of World War II, let’s strive for the end of warfare of all kind.
All it requires is recognition of the humanity in others instead of always trying to be victorious over them.
The deaths of 20,000 plus mostly young people was deemed necessary to end and reverse the rise of the German Nazis. To tell the German colonists to go home.
Now US and UK-backed forces in Ukraine are shelling Russian cities/defensive facilities, threatening the beginning of World War III.
As one of the remaining veterans from Normandy told Sky News Thursday, we appear to have learned nothing from World War II.
Wars have been constant ever since.
It is frankly shocking that a key politician has to say this in 2024:
I spoke a veteran of the Angola War that began in November 1975, who felt he had been betrayed by the deception about why the war was needed.
Even that war 1000s of miles away from Europe was a proxy between Russia and the US.
South Africa was lured in to help by the US, who had no casualties, according to Wikipedia. As many as 2,000 South Africans were killed and an unclear number of Angolans.
The bloodshed pitched in the West and beyond as communists v freedom was actually deployed to get access to Angola’s resources and wealth.

Despite the biased propaganda Thursday in Normandy, it’s really never clear that wars are worth it.
The Nazis needed to be stopped back then, so the messaging goes. Yet since Russia helped achieve that, why not give Russia some credit, America and Britain?
Not enough grace for that, it seems.

Now many African nations have decided to stop supporting American military bases.
Just as the Germans left France 80 years ago, the US and France is now retreating in Africa. The UK should retreat gradually from the Falkland Islands near Argentina.
Across the past 80 years, the young died so old men get wealthy selling weapons and trading commodities in unfair markets funded by ripped-off taxpayers.
Enough.
I was shocked when I saw on Twitter/X that some people were last year labelling D-Day as a Satanistic ritual …to sacrifice young people. See below.
That military action happened shortly after 6am on the 6th of the sixth month, 1944, after all.
Then I thought some more about it …and the social media posters just might be making some relevant, if misguided, points.
A ritual is something we do regularly…like starting wars.
Hitler did it. Then NATO employed Hitlers’ officers and it has been doing it since.
