Assange MAY GET more leave to appeal extradition partly because of lack of death-penalty protection (2)

Reporting and opinion by Mathew Carr

March 26, 2024 — Stella Assange, Julian’s wife, said she was astounded by the decision because the court is not willing to interrogate the US plot to kill him.

Julian should never have been put in jail at all, she said.

(First version of this story incorrectly stated Assange would get more leave to appeal. Should have said might get without further assurances from the US about his safety. Actually there will be another hearing on May 20 …so there is more appealing going on there …perhaps I should not have corrected my earlier story. Wikileaks didn’t publish the third page in its initial tweet. Source docs follow.)
