It’s an example of how we are kept in the dark. I do realise the BBC was kept in the dark too.

Also, it turned out the security folk at the embassy had been corrupted, apparently by US interests. Assange probably knew this even before Ecuador did, which is apparently (partly) why their (Assange and Ecuador’s) relationship deteriorated.
