Comment by Mathew Carr
Feb. 5-6, 2024: FT (page three) — was up to its usual warmongering on Monday.
I concede the advertisement juxtaposition was probably accidental (yet quite something given the history of British violence) — my key comment is the story about the aircraft carrier assumes war is here to stay and will get worse …when the FT could choose to assume that people around the world are more than 99% the same genetically and non-violent collaboration will substantially replace the current spate of stupid, reckless, violent wars.
Do we still need a military deterrent? Probably. Does every country need a huge army, navy and airforce? Probably not. Collaboration will work. Taxpayers around the world need to do their fair share.
Those who demonize countries and instigate false flag events to justify war need to be called out. Those who seek to improperly justify the need for a massive, secretive, undemocratic military-industrial-intelligence complex need to be called out.
