CarrZee comment on Al Gore accusing Britain of being a petro state:

America’s US is the biggest petro state on earth.

Mr Gore knows this because he failed when he ran for president there. He probably missed out on the top job partly because of oil money pushing against him.

The government in the US is the one that’s most in bed with fossil fuel companies and other predatory delayers.

This is shocking gaslighting by Mr Gore and why does cowardly PM Mr Rishi Sunak not respond?

Because he thinks criticising the US will threaten the chance of a post Brexit trade deal?

Really?

Or is Sunak deliberately providing political cover for the US, which does not make polluters pay properly…and indeed subsidises them?

Which is it, Mr Sunak? Plain old cowardice? Something more sinister?

Unfair and unjust grabbing of the fast-disappearing global carbon budget set by Paris, perhaps?

Certainly this divisive postering is slowing progress at COP28.
