US-China talks continue today as temperatures surge fifth month in a row

Will the USA and China agree to pivot global market structure toward climate action … as much as they can by themselves? …the best evidence that they will lies with the rapidly increasing global temperature.

China and the US are at least speaking, as the Middle East tensions threaten to break into a wider conflict and the climate appears to fall apart at rapid pace few foresaw.

Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken hosted PRC Director of the CCP Central Foreign Affairs Commission and Foreign Minister Wang Yi for an official visit today in Washington. The meeting was part of a reciprocal visit following the Secretary’s travel to Beijing and recent high-level meetings as part of ongoing efforts to maintain open lines of communication and responsibly manage U.S.-China relations. The Secretary and Director and Foreign Minister Wang discussed a range of bilateral, regional, and global issues, including addressing areas of difference as well as exploring areas of cooperation. The Secretary reiterated that the United States will continue to stand up for our interests and values and those of our allies and partners.

The Secretary expressed his condolences on the passing of former Premier Li Keqiang.

The Secretary and Director and Foreign Minister Wang will continue their discussions on Friday, October 27

Wang: “Time and facts will prove everything and history will make fair judgement.”
