Corsia Carbon Fails to Trade So Far After First Day, ICE Data Shows

Oct. 10, 2023 — Carbon credits under the international carbon market for airlines, known as Corsia, didn’t trade after ICE began offering futures Oct. 9, 2023, according to data on the exchange’s website.

UN envoys are seeking to create a market under Article 6.4 of the Paris climate deal, which some buyers are waiting for.

CME market prices are also in the doldrums at $1.71/ton.
