Natgas surges more than a fifth Friday; EU carbon ends up over €100/ton (1)

EU and analysts had signalled the natural gas markets were getting complacent.

Front-month natural gas rose 21% to €52.86/MWh

Carbon ended up above €100/ton.

European carbon price ended this week at €100.17/t and settled at €99.8.
