U.K. Carbon Dropped to Month Low as Govt Focuses on Non-CO2 Pricing to Hit 2030 Target; Rebounds Wednesday

By Mathew Carr

Oct. 19-21, 2021 — Tuesday night: I reckon there’s gotta be a good chance that British carbon pricing might be bolstered by the UN Glasgow climate talks, if other nations jump on board and the EU strategy on border adjustments plays out.

So, and this is not investment advice, Tuesday’s drop in UK and EU carbon might be a bit overdone / premature.

Both the UK and the EU will be under tremendous pressure from emerging countries to tighten their 2030 emission-reduction targets even more, during the Glasgow talks.
