South Africa doc out today on UNFCCC: “Our national GHG emissions including LULUCF reached their highest value of 529 Mt CO2-eq in 2008, as reported in the 9th NIR over the period 2000-2022, and were 435 Mt CO2-eq in 2022. Based on modelling for this NDC (UCT 2025b), no credible scenario was found in which GHG emission will exceed 435 Mt CO2-eq again.”
